In the continuous effort to bring digital equity to all Michiganders, the Michigan Hi-Speed Internet Office (MIHI) is working to create a more digitally equitable state where everyone can leverage technology to improve their quality of life.
MIHI recently hosted a webinar to share updates about Michigan's Broadband, Equity, Access and Deployment (BEAD) program as well as Michigan's Inclusive Training, Technology and Equity Network (MITTEN). The new MITTEN program aims to promote equitable access to high-speed internet and digital skills training across Michigan. This includes the creation of Digital Navigators to be stationed regionally to address specific local needs through community programs that seek to remove barriers to internet access and digital learning.
The statewide plan can be viewed here (PDF).
Applications will close on July 24th.
