MSHDA Draft Plans are available for Public Comment

Posted on

Before submitting federal plans and reports associated with Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) funded programs, Michigan is required to publish draft documents for public review and comment. The Michigan State Housing Development Authority (MSHDA) is responsible for preparing the Michigan reports and soliciting comments from the public on an annual basis. As part of the process, a Citizen Participation Plan must be adopted. This is your chance to provide your input for that plan!

The 30 day public comment period will start July 26, and will end on August 26. There will be three public hearings to receive comments:

August 6 - Gaylord, Michigan Department of Transportation, 1-2pm ET

August 14 - Grand Rapids, LINC Up, 1-2pm ET

August 21 - Detroit, Dauch Scout Center, 10-11am ET

And a Virtual Meeting Option: August 22 from 10-11am ET on Microsoft Teams

       Meeting ID: 261 325 876 799

       Passcode: vh6EJD

Copies of both the MSHDA Citizen Participation Plan and the biennial Housing and Community Development Fund (HCDF) Allocation Plan can be downloaded at www.michigan.gov/mshda

Comments may also be submitted in writing (no later than August 26) on the Citizen Participation Plan by email at hidmailbox@michigan.gov, or addressed to:
