Draft Comprehensive Economic Development Strategy (CEDS) Update

The Central UP Planning and Development Regional Commission has prepared a draft update of the Comprehensive Economic Development Strategy (CEDS). The CEDS is a regional (six central counties) plan that guides economic development priorities, projects, and investments over the next five years and supports continued eligibility for U.S. Economic Development Administration funding.

The draft CEDS update is now available for public review. Community members, local governments, businesses, nonprofit organizations, and other stakeholders are encouraged to review the document and provide comments.

The public comment period will remain open for 30 days from February 20th through March 23, 2026.
