Commission
CUPPAD was created by state legislation in 1968 as one of fourteen state-designated planning and development regions. Located in Escanaba, MI, CUPPAD serves the central six counties of the central Upper Peninsula (Alger, Delta, Dickinson, Marquette, Menominee, and Schoolcraft) and is governed by a 37-member commission with an 8-member Executive Committee. These commissioners come from all over the region, with representation from each county, and bring their knowledge, expertise, and leadership to the everyday activities of CUPPAD.

Executive Committee Meeting Schedule for Fiscal Year 2025
The Executive Committee meets on the fourth Thursday of every month, unless it is a full Commission meeting, which will now be held on the fourth Friday of every month. All meetings will take place at the Michigan Works Board Room at the CUPPAD Offices in Escanaba unless otherwise noted. Minutes will be posted as soon as they are available. Please note that CUPPAD's Fiscal Year begins in October of each calendar year. All times are in Eastern unless otherwise noted.
