Please TAKE and SHARE this survey on waste, recycling, and composting activities in the Central UP. In 2022, the Michigan Legislature passed updates to Part 115 of the Natural Resources and Environmental Protection Act requiring county-level Materials Management Plans. The counties of the Central UP (Alger, Delta, Dickinson, Marquette, Menominee, and Schoolcraft) have joined together to create a regional plan to boost the capacity for waste diversion activities and services. Your feedback will be important in helping to shape the goals of this plan. Your local government will eventually have an opportunity to communicate a decision on local approval during the Plan's adoption process.
