Elective Pay Tax Credits for Clean Energy

Posted on

The Superior Watershed Partnership (SWP) is hosting the Elective Pay Ambassador for the Upper Peninsula region!

Elective Pay, often referred to as "direct pay," allows tax-exempt entities to take advantage of federal clean energy tax credits. This means eligible entities such as local and Tribal governments, non-profits, rural electric co-ops, houses of worship, public school districts, and others can possibly receive payment for a portion of their eligible clean energy projects.

Contact Krystle, the Upper Peninsula’s Elective Pay Ambassador for assistance with:

- Assessing if your clean energy project is eligible

- Matching your project with relevant tax credits and potential bonus credits

- Assistance with pre-filing through the IRS

- Questions about Elective Pay and meeting project requirements
