Safe Routes to School Regional Training Opportunities

Communities across Michigan are invited to participate in upcoming Safe Routes to School (SRTS) Regional Trainings, with sessions scheduled in Marquette (September 16) and Gaylord (September 17).

These free, hands-on trainings are designed to support local leaders, schools, and community partners in building or strengthening Safe Routes to School programs. Attendees will learn practical strategies, explore successful case studies, and connect with peers working to improve safety and accessibility for students.

Topics include navigating the planning process using community assets, building sustainable programs through partnerships and policy, engaging youth leadership, and implementing SRTS in rural communities.
